Mr. Christiansen will be based in Markit! Forestry's headquarters office in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mr. Christiansen joins Markit! Forestry from Highway Supply, LLC in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he was the General Manager-Senior Project Manager and an Executive Team member. In addition to his work at Highway Supply, LLC, Mr. Christiansen has over 30 years of professional experience in managing large construction projects across the western United States and overseas. Mr. Christiansen has held management positions at Kiewit Corporation, SEMA Corporation, and Laguna Construction Company, Inc., and has worked on such diverse projects as civil construction for the Denver International Airport, civil construction at the Albuquerque International Sunport, emergency bridge construction for the Santa Fe Railroad in Kansas, civil and highway construction on the I-40/I-25 interchange ("Big I") in Albuquerque, and civil and structural construction in Iraq. Markit! Forestry Management ("Markit! Forestry") has completed a significant and complex environmental forestry project for the Flagstaff Watershed Protection Project on approximately 500 acres around Mount Elden and the Dry Lake Hills area north of Flagstaff, Arizona. The Flagstaff Watershed Protection Project targeted steep-slope timber thinning in areas not accessible to ground-based equipment. Trees were felled by hand crews, and whole trees were removed by helicopters to landing areas for processing and decking. ![]()

Markit! Forestry Management ("Markit! Forestry") has completed a highly complex environmental forestry project on approximately 380 acres in the Chatfield State Park in Douglas and Jefferson counties in Colorado. The park encompasses the Chatfield Reservoir, which has a surface area of 1423 acres, and is fed by the South Platte River, Plum Creek and other smaller creeks. To help control flooding, the Chatfield Reservoir was built in 1975 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at the confluence of the South Platte River and Plum Creek. The reservoir has the ability to store more than 350,000 acre-feet of water. The primary purpose of the reservoir is flood control, but it also provides storage space for conservation water, which is used for municipal, industrial, agricultural and recreational uses, as well as maintaining fisheries and wildlife habitat, and providing drinking water to the Denver metropolitan area. ![]()
